Meet Drs. Derek and Angelle Stratton

I am Dr. Derek Stratton. I was born in New Orleans and raised in Luling. I am a graduate of Hahnville High School, while there I enjoyed playing football, tennis, and donkey basketball. I was accepted into the School of Pharmacy at University of Louisiana at Monroe. One of my college jobs was working at the Louisiana Poison Control Center. It was there that I learned about drugs, and the more I knew about drugs, the more I wanted to find another way to achieve health. It is ironic that pharmacy introduced me to Chiropractic. It has always been understood to me that there is a supreme intelligence inside of our bodies, how else did our eyes and ears know where to form inside of our mother’s body. After studying “Man-Made” drugs, that try to replicate naturally occurring chemicals, I decided that it made more sense to get our chemical health from natural “God-Made” supplements. So if eating a healthy diet was the best way to put the required chemicals in our body, how could I contribute to someone’s health? Well, there are 3 stresses to the body: Chemical, Physical, and Emotional. Thanks to Chiropractic, I help patients with all 3 stresses by empowering their nervous system, giving nutritional advice, and being a life coach. I enrolled at Parker College of Chiropractic and received a BS in Anatomy. To learn new chiropractic techniques my wife and I transferred to Life University and graduated with honors as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Stop by our office, and experience Wellness. I am Dr. Angelle Stratton. I was born and raised in Raceland, LA. I graduated from Central Lafourche High school in the top 10 students in my class and I was also voted most athletic in my class. As a child, my father owned a small town pharmacy and I usually went there after school to help out. After working there since I was thirteen, I decided to enroll in Pharmacy School at University of Louisiana at Monroe. After studying pharmacy for two years and working in Pharmacies for eight years, I noticed patient’s medicine bags always got bigger and they never achieved health. If anything, they always seem to get less healthy. That is when it hit me that health comes from diet and lifestyle changes and not from a bag of medicine. At that time, I started to research other forms of health care and decided to enroll at Parker College of Chiropractic where I earned a BS in Anatomy. I finished my education at Life University and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic. I also was accepted into the National Chiropractic Honor Society. As a Chiropractor, I teach patients how important your nervous system is in order to have a healthy functioning body. The nervous system is the first system to develop in the body and every other system is controlled by this system. Therefore, if there is stress on the spine and nerves, it will start to decrease function in other systems. As a Chiropractor, we align your spine and decrease stress in your body to allow your body to heal itself. Along with a healthy diet and lifestyle health can be achieved!
